Directions on adding text to Gif graphics.
(without an alpha channel)
Paint Shop pro 6.0 or 7.0

1) Open up the blank graphic you want to add text to.
Go to colors-increase color depth-to 16 million.

2) Add your text with anti-alias checked and floating selection checked also.

3) Position your text on the graphic where you want it to be with the mover tool.

Go to select-none as seen below.
The floating selection will disappear.
Note: If you want to add a drop shadow to your text do it BEFORE you go to selections-select none.

Go to colors-decrease colors-256 8 bit
with the following settings checked.

Go to file-save as and your done!
